Congratulations to our School Psychology Program Coordinator, Dr. Frank DeMatteo, on receiving $2 million in Grant Funding! The grants were created, in partnership with the Northern Humboldt Union High School District (NHUHSD), to increase the number of mental health practitioners in disadvantaged school districts over the next five years, while also providing support for the professional development of students and their field-based supervisors. From our first-year cohort in School Psychology, three students were awarded $15,000 for the next two years. From our second-year cohort, four students were awarded $10,000 to support their efforts in completing the 540 hours of their school-based practicum for the 2023-2024 Academic year.
